Venom 2 Trailer Release

Sony Releases The Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer And Here’s The Trailer Breakdown

The trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage is finally out and let’s talk about what a BLAST it is!

The long wait is over and our favorite cinematic anti-hero is returning to the big screens. After Venom was released in 2018, a sequel to the movie was announced in 2019 that was meant to be released in 2020, but thanks to the ongoing pandemic, the movie was pushed back several times and after a year of delay, the movie is finally coming out on September 24.

The movie is titled “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” and with Tom Hardy returning as the lead with his alien better half, the movie is all set to be released and it has a brand-new ruthless villain- the Carnage. The trailer for the movie was just released and it was so incredible that I’m still in shock. Let’s find out more about the trailer in a little detail below

The Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer Breakdown

The trailer begins with a scene from Eddie’s apartment showcasing the oddly iconic super heroic duo living a normal life. We find that the duo has gotten quite comfortable living with each other unlike in the first movie and have established a “No Eating Humans” rule. Both Venom and Eddie are living like roommates and quite surprisingly, we witness Venom preparing breakfast for Eddie. After that Venom also help Eddie sit down at the dining table and serves him the delicious (yet messed up) breakfast that he prepared.

The relationship that Eddie and Venom have established is so massively cute (No I’m not deranged; I did find their relationship adorable) and so was Venom’s adorable comments “Tadaa!” and “Yummyyyy!”. Things do seem to be a little out of hand with the stove on fire and everything messed up and Eddie does seem stressed because of them but what relationship comes without challenges right? Afterward, we also see Eddie revisiting Mrs. Chen’s store and it is revealed that Mrs. Chen too has gotten quite comfortable with Venom and treats him like a real person, greeting him with “Good Evening Venom!” and Venom also replies in his own little adorable way.

The trailer then goes to explore the life of the villain of the movie- Cletus Kasady (played by Woody Harrelson), a lunatic serial killer now host to one of the deadliest symbiote called Carnage. We return to the post-credit scene of the first Venom movie where Eddie visits Cletus in a jail cell, in order to interview the psycho killer. We also get a look at Naomie Harris, joining the cast as Shriek- Carnage’s love interest in the comics.

Cletus may have been sentenced to the death penalty as the follow-up scene showcases him in an execution room where a large group of reporters and officials surround him as witnesses to his execution. He is injected with a lethal injection which then awakens the symbiote within him and then we get the first complete look at our supervillain and he is Terrifying!

Venom 2 Trailer Review
The Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer

When Venom was released back in 2018, it got a mixed review with a little criticism for the nature of the film. Still, the movie was a smashing success, grossing $856.1 million with a budget of only $100- $116 million and Venom 2 is going to be even more successful as Sony did its homework and made the movie a masterpiece, correcting all the mistakes. Firstly, Woody’s ridiculous wig is gone and we see Venom taking a less monstrous approach to everything.

The trailer ends with a comical note where Venom threatens to eat Mrs. Chen for not having chocolates in her store while Eddie talks to her revealing that Venom intends to eat her. The trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a total blast and I’m just angry at the ongoing pandemic because of which we were deprived of this masterpiece for a whole year!
