This binge-worthy Netflix series is definitely making fans wait for the next season.
VIRGIN RIVER is an American romantic drama series and was 1st released in 2019. The series is based on the novel with the same name by author ‘Robyn Carr’ and has been a fan favorite ever since it released. The series has 2 seasons till now and waiting for the third one to know what all it has to offer. The story is based on a nurse practitioner ‘Melinda Monroe’ (aka Alexandra Breckenridge) commonly known as MEL who moves from Los Angeles to a remote Northern California town and wishes to live a peaceful life there, not knowing what life actually has in store for her.
Virgin River: Till Now
As Mel moves to this small town in Northern California, local people are just as reluctant to accept her as she is but some have a different perspective. She meets ‘Jack Sheridan’ (aka Martin Henderson) and the two of them have quite a spark between them as soon as they met. BUT…..it’s not so simple. Jack who owns the diner, has a mysterious past of his own and trying to battle his demons along the way. He also comes to know that his not-so-serious fling with ‘Charmaine’ (aka Lauren Hammersley) has actually resulted in her being pregnant and he became a father.
Jack clearly isn’t ready for a responsibility this size and is trying to wrap his head around it and then starts developing feelings for Mel and that complicates the situation even more. Following all this chaos and drama, at the end of season 2, Jack was shot and it wasn’t clear whether he’ll survive or not (Surely, series and cliffhangers go hand in hand). Season 3 is all set to premiere on 9th July and Netflix revealed that Jack would be back in the show (Thank God…!!). However, fans do doubt that he’ll be alive fully or his sequences will be in flashbacks.
Virgin River: The Story Moving Forward
Also, the damper in the love story of Jack and Mel i.e. Charmaine and she and Jack’s baby will also be finally born, and at the end of season 2, Jack had also received an ultimatum from Charmaine that if he wants to live with the baby, he’ll have to move to Oregon. Some fans also suspect that he might not actually be the father and Charmaine’s just using this as an opportunity to stay close to him and keep him involved. These fans also have a name for the probable contender for who might actually be the child’s biological father and they have placed their bets on ‘Mike’ (Jack’s friend).
Could he actually be the real father? What will happen with the love story of Jack and Mel? How will Jack react to the news of him not actually being the father?
For all this and more, tune into NETFLIX on 9th July and watch the 3rd season of Virgin River.
