Scott M. Gimple the CCO of Walking Dead recently revealed that their upcoming series the World Beyond is different from other TWD properties. The Walking Dead: World Beyond is a spin-off series of The Walking Dead series which is a comic book-based series. This series is based on Robert Kirkman’s popular comic series with the same name. As the Walking Dead series is going to see it ends with their final season 11, the creators had planned many spin-offs that will take care of The Walking Dead’s legacy. In this the first spin-off World Beyond is scheduled to hit the screens on October 4, 2020, this series will be premiered on AMC.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond will reportedly have 2 seasons with 10-10 episodes each, and World Beyond is different. The first half of the series is going to see Nebraska ten years after the Zombies Apocalypse began and will focus on four teenage protagonists who are among the first generation to come of age during the apocalypse. Scott M. Gimple and Matthew Negrete who played a large role in the Walking Dead series are going to produce World Beyond starring Annet Mahendru, Aliyah Royale, Nico Tortorella, and many other young actors.
How World Beyond is different from other TWD series?
While having an interview with the Decider, Gimple delivered many insights about the Walking Dead: World Beyond. He revealed that World Beyond is different from other series in the TWD franchise as it will deliver a more innocent point of view coming from young characters’ experience.
According to the explanation giving by Gimple, it seems like World Beyond is going to deliver a brand new narrative that is going to very different from other series in the TWD franchise. Though reviews World Beyond has collected till now is not that much overwhelming, it will be all in the audience’s hands to decide if the new outlook delivered by World Beyond change is for better or for worse. It seems that World Beyond may be targeting younger viewers who can relate to the decisions and relationships of its characters, which will allow TWD to become more accessible to a new demographic of fans.
