Better Call Saul season 6 is going to be the last season of the very interesting crime drama series Better Call Saul. The show is both a spinoff and a prequel to the legendary masterpiece “Breaking Bad.” Breaking Bad is one heck of a show created by Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan with a gigantic fanbase across the globe. The show was a massive success with a 9.5 IMDb and 96% Rotten Tomatoes rating and the rest is history.
The spinoff series Better Call Saul has certainly lived up to the legacy of its predecessor, Breaking Bad, securing an 8.7 IMDb and 97% Rotten Tomatoes rating for itself. As the show’s end is approaching, there are very high hopes to see how a fitting ending is bestowed for the show. Bob Odenkirk, who plays ex-con lawyer Saul Goodman, has shared his hopes of what he expects to see in the final season of Better Call Saul.
Reminiscing Over Breaking Bad
The first season of Breaking Bad aired in January 2002 with a story revolving around Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, a chemistry teacher who teams up with his old high school student, Jesse Pinkman, to make methamphetamine to support his family financially after finding out he has terminal lung cancer. There’s just a lot of good stuff that comes to mind when you start remembering how great of a show Breaking Bad was. But as all good things come to end, Breaking Bad too ended on September 29, 2013, with its five-season run.
The Prequel to the show, Better Call Saul takes place six years before the events of Breaking Bad, showcasing the life of Saul Goodman, a sneaky criminal lawyer who Walter and Jesse associate within season 2 of Breaking Bad.
Everything We Know About Better Call Saul Season 6
So far we know that Better Call Saul season 6 will consist of 13 episodes instead of its usual ten. Currently, Better Call Saul is set in 2004 which four years prior to Breaking Bad’s pilot episode which came out in 2008, so there is a lot of possibilities that the stories of both the show will come closer to each other in the Better Call Saul season 6. Bob Odenkirk says that though there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding this yet, he would love to see Bryan Cranston reprising his role as Walter White for the final season of Better Call Saul.
In an interview with Collider, he stated
“This I do not know. I’ve only got the first two [scripts], so I hope that that happens. I’ve heard that rumor, but I have not seen anything factual that it’s going to happen yet.”
Since the show is ending in 2022, it’s the last chance for the showrunners to treat fans with the return of their favorite character, Walter White, but even if that doesn’t happen the final season of going to be a memorable end considering how much focus is given to very small details on the show.
