The latest issues of Batman have witnessed a major conflict in terms of The Joker War. All the conflict was faced while setting the stage for the “Joker War” that is to come. Last month’s issue set the stage for the same in a profound manner. There The Joker has attained a new status quo in Gotham by necessary means. The events of the latest issue appeared to suggest the two beloved characters have got caught in the crossfire.
Batman is trying hard to regain his strengths. He is trying to get to safety after realizing that The Joker has stolen his wealth. The Joker has gained control over Gotham city. Bruce asked what happened to Catwoman after his wounds were saved temporarily. He was told that she has been sent to Gotham Mercy under the care of daughter Lucius, Tam. Bruce has a conversation with Selina who is in the hospital trying to regain her strength. Bruce has confessed to Selina for pushing her out of his life.
Selina Makes Her Way To The Cool Room
Bruce has made his mind to find Selina at the hospital before The Joker does. He is anxious that something bad would occur for her. He does not want that. By the moment he arrives at the hospital, Selina is gone from her hospital bed.
Later it is found that Selina wakes up in a different room on a different bed. That is The Penguin’s new private lounge that we called The Cool Room. Penguin tries to explain this to Selina that he was constantly hunkering down to sit out of the Joker War with Batman that is yet to come. He advised her to do the same.
There is a proof given in the issue that Selina has not died from the shot by Punchline. This has given her a future in the arc and in DCU as well. The developments will be witnessing Selina in an interesting position when it comes to the “Joker War”.
The next issue, i.e. Batman #95 will be released on 22nd July.
