The Falcon and the Winter Soldier were speculated to kick off the Marvel Studios’ television universe on Disney. It was supposed to reach Disney Plus in August. But now the debut of the show is delayed because of the worldwide pandemic.
The show was forced to stop production in May because of Coronavirus. Disney still does not have any dates for the premiere of the show. But there are hopes that the updates would be shared soon. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will start on Disney from the place where Avengers: Endgame ends. Steve Rogers’ Captain America might have returned after choosing a different life on a different timeline. Sam Wilson takes the shield instead.
We still do not have the complete trailer of the show. Disney debuted the brief trailer in February during the Super Bowl. The teaser has the first look at the Marvel Studios’ other two Disney Plus series that are WandaVision and Loki. This had shown Sam practicing using the shield. It showed Bucky Barned uniting with Zemo.
More Dates Are Shifted Due To Pandemic
Fans were anticipating delays because they don’t have other Marvel shows on the horizon. Two big productions from Marvel Studios have also delayed their theatrical release, Black Widow and The Eternals. Black Widow has moved from 1st May to 6th November and The Eternals has shifted to 12th February 2021 from 6th November. Though, it is not clear if WandaVision would be affected or not.
Many studios, films, and TV shows are facing delays due to the same issue. Disney CEO Bob Chapek has told the staff that they are hoping to return back with the production soon. But everything depends on the situation. If things will turn out to be safe, they will soon start into production. The Mandalorian’s second season is on track to have the release date of October, Chapek has announced the same earlier this year.
