Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker finally changed some elements from the earlier films and struck the conclusion of the Skywalker saga. Finn being Force-sensitive was ragged by The Rise of Skywalkers that invited the question that fans already knew about. In 1977, the fans were introduced to a galaxy far away from its planets, alien classes, political structures, and other notions like force by Star Wars: A New Hope.
This new universe continued to expand by Lucasfilm with Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and after many years was introduced a prequel trilogy that investigated the backstory of Anakin Skywalker from his days a young slave in Tatooine.
After Disney’s acquisition by Lucasfilm, the works started in the studio on an all-new and the final trilogy. The intention behind it was to give closure to the Skywalker Saga. Meanwhile, the new generation of characters was introduced.
The final chapter: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was surrounded by controversies and the same was the case with the sequel trilogy. There were quite many controversial moments in the film and it left many plot holes. The fans also thought that these plot holes in the film will one day be solved. Moreover, many elements in the film which were familiar to the fans were twisted like the Force and those who could use it. It all could happen through Finn’s big reveal.
Is Finn Force-Sensitive?
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was expected to explore Finn’s backstory also because it was promised by it to do so. But it didn’t deliver any of that. When Fenn realized that he and Rey were going to die soon he made the large confession. However, his confession was interrupted and the audience was left puzzled. Later it was revealed that Finn wanted to tell Rey that he was Force-sensitive and he used the force in a precise moment near the end and through it, he sensed Rey’s death. Force-sensitive people are those who hold a powerful connection to the Force. This Force can be passed on to the next generations, as happened in the Skywalker Family. As Anakin transferred his powers to Luke and Leia, and she transferred it to her son, Ben Solo/Kylo Ren. The same occurred with Rey as she happened to be Palpatine’s granddaughter.
Does Finn have the force?
Force-sensitive people were trained by The Jedi and The Sith who helped them use and control their abilities. As without knowledge, training, and even trust, this connection to the Force remained drowsy. The same was in Finn’s case. Finn’s family is still unknown therefore his connection to the force remained a secret. Finn couldn’t resolve the mystery and therefore his biggest reveal in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker failed.
