In the Marvel dominated box office, Suicide Squad was expected to give a tough fight to Captain America: Civil War with its star-studded cast and brilliant antihero story. Writer/Director Ayer who gave many highly famed action/ drama movies like Harsh Times and Fury was set to sprinkle his charm in Suicide Squad too. Fans were excited to see what he is going to deliver with aan an n all-time favourite DC villain.

On its release, Suicide Squad broke many records at Box Office and became the Tenth highest-grossing movie of 2016. Even after performing so well at the Box Office Suicide squad accepted a lot of negative criticism from both fans and critics, who were highly disappointed with the movie. Many critics complained about the direction and portrayal of some characters. This has led to a discussion of the “Ayer Cut” of Suicide Squad, which the director himself has revealed details of in the past.
In a recent tweet sent out in response to a thread on the potential release of the director’s cut, Ayer said he recently watched his version of the film, calling it “f*cking amazing.” Ayer also confessed he “felt guilty for years” about the movie, blaming himself. This is not the first when David Ayer came out and talked about the Superiority of his version compared to the Studio’s version, this past July he was telling fans that they should go to the source and raise their voice to release Ayer’s Suicide Squad cut. However, it’s quite surprising to hear all this from the director who previously said that he is not that confident about his cut. Ayer’s reveal his cut is “the tone of the Comicon trailer 100%” should only increase excitement surrounding his version of the film. The Comic-Con trailer was well-received and more along the lines of what many expected for the movie’s theatrical release.
The question of whether the cut of David Ayer will come out or not is still steaming up. However, Warner Bros. still hasn’t discussed whether they are going to release Ayer’s cut or not.
