Lucifer season 5 will be bagging more episodes than expected. On 21st August, Lucifer season 5 is returning back. The new season will have 16 episodes instead of previously planned 10. This has given more space to writers to explore and to come up with new creative ideas to tell the story.
The extra episodes have come as a surprise. These are the unexpected ones. Lucifer was earlier canceled by Fox after season 3. But it was later saved by Netflix. The streaming platform had renewed the show for the 4rth season . and after noticing the success of Lucifer. It is ready to launch season 5 as well. There is news of Lucifer’s season 6 to come in the way. The writers are given more episodes to work within the 5th season of the show.
The Added Episodes Promise Unique Essence
Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich have filled the added episodes with content that promises to be unique. In a photo review by EW, the cast is dressed up in film noir styled costumes. The show will be featuring a flashback episode that is set in the 1940s. It will reveal more about Lucifer’s and Maze’s past. While on an interview, Henderson has explained the necessity of the episodes. He has said, when we went from 10 to 16, [at] first we were like, ‘How do we do this?’ But literally within three days, we were like, ‘How could we ever have told the story without these stories?”
Excitement For Noir Episodes
Modrovuck has also expressed her curiosity for the noir episode. It seemed to her that it suits the series lead Tom Ellis. The episode comes at a point where more information is needed by characters about Lucifer and his history. Lucifer recalls and tells them the story of his past through the lens of a noir film. “There was a moment in our arc where Lucifer needed to give us a little backstory on a character and tell us what happened to [him] a long time ago and we thought, ‘Perfect moment for a Princess Bride moment. So, let’s open it up and have Lucifer tell this story to someone”.
The fans of the show, it would be exciting to see the bag of Lucifer season 5. Since the last season was a cliffhanger. There are secrets about what the new season will focus on. The finale of season 4 was concluded with Lucifer returning to rule over Hell. So one could spend more time in the supernatural world, perhaps in the forthcoming season.
Netflix is claiming that Lucifer season 6 will be the last season of the show. If this is so then the upcoming season would end as dramatically as season 4.
