Dan Dan Trachtenberg’s upcoming Predator 5 movie under Disney will take a ride in the past according to the newly revealed plot details.
Recently revealed plot details for the fifth installment teased that the story will take place in the past. John McTiernan’s first Predator came out in 1987 having Arnold Schwarzenegger as the lead actor. Schwarzenegger’s portrayal of Dutch was one of his highly acclaimed roles with The Terminator and Conan the Barbarian. Similarly, the Yautja Aka Predator became the deadliest movie monster of that decade.
Since then franchise dropped five movies but none of them were able to match the level of critics the original movie received. Predator 2, The Predators, and most recently The Predator attempted to continue the mythos behind the ancient creatures, but each of the films got mixed to negative reviews. Even the Alien and Predator and its sequel Alein and Predator was not able not to hold the audience but the franchise hasn’t lost their hopes. Fans lost their hope when the news broke out that Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, but now with an official announcement it was cleared that Predator 5 is online.
What We Can Expect To See In Predator 5?
Recently the first plot details were revealed and it teases that Predator 5 will take place in the past before settlers stole Native Americans’ land. It seems that Predator 5 may be going under the working title “Skulls” which is said to follow “a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior.”
As the announcement of Predator was made a few days ago there are just dew details about the movie. Dan Trachtenberg, who is most known for directing 10 Cloverfield Lane and the series premiere of The Boys, has signed on to direct the new Predator film. Predator 5’s script is being written by Patrick Aison, which lines up with AVP Galaxy’s theory that Skulls and Predator 5 are the same movies. While 2018’s The Predator left the door open for a sequel, it seems that Predator 5 will not continue that storyline.
