Wolverine may not be seen in the MCU as of now.
Marvel is ready to reboot the X-Men in MCU. There is a lot of excitement by fans as they want to see return of Wolverine on the big screen. His fans want him to rub his shoulders with the Avengers. Though the studio is facing a lot of struggle when it comes to Logan. Hugh Jackman’s 17-year term as the eternal hero casts an extended cloud over the character. The Australian actor has promised his fans that he has wrapped his claws for the last time. It will really be difficult for his fans to see him again in the role.
Avengers: Endgame Director Joe Russo feels that Marvel should let Wolverine rest for a few times before he comes ahead. He wants Marvel to rest Wolverine before introducing him for a new version to the audiences. While talking to ComicBook.com, Russo said that he loves the character of Wolverine. But he feels that it will be best to give him a break.
Wolverine Was The One In The List To Take Over Jackman
“I mean, Wolverine was always one of my favourite characters. Incredible Hulk #181 was one of the first comic books that I remember collecting, which was the first appearance of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman has done an incredible job with that character over the years, and I think they should take a break for a little while before someone else takes a crack at it.”
It seems as if Kevin Feige and his team are also things the same. There is no new X-Men movie coming at least till 2023. Jackman has already said bye to 2017’s Logan.
As of now for who will take over Jackman, Wolverine is the contested character. Though many others have been known for the rumour. They are Tom Hardy, Daniel Radcliffe, Taron Egerton, Keanu Reeves and more.
Let’s see what will happen in times coming, but Wolverine will surely not appear in MCU as of now.
