It’s been a good year for Netflix binge-watcher as the streaming platform produced a number of amazing series. From Fate: The Winx Saga to Firefly Lane to Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer. However, no series has been this hot in 2021. Yes, we are talking about Ginny & Georgia. The series revolves around a free-spirited mother Georgia and her two kids Ginny & Austin who moves to a new town Wellsbury Massachusetts in an attempt to escape from their past life. Ginny is trying hard to find her identity in high school. Well, this is where the story begins when Ginny feels she is more mature than her mother Georgia, who finds her way around breaking rules as well as breaking hearts.
The series is directed by five directors Anya Adams, Catalina Aquilar Mastretta, Renuka Jeyapalan, Sudz Sutherland, and Aleysa Young. They all have directed two episodes of season 1. Let’s find out which Ginny & Georgia episode is best.
When Ginny & Georgia come out on Netflix?
Ginny & Georgia was released on 24th February 2021. The series surprised everyone with its comedy-thriller genre. The series is filled with lies and Georgia’s secret past. After the first season, fans are curious to know if there will be a second season. However, Netflix hasn’t confirmed whether the show will return or not. But we are sure that Ginny & Georgia will come for another season as the show ended with a major cliffhanger.

After Kenny’s death, Georgia Miller arrives in the Wellsbury town with her daughter Ginny and her son Austin for a fresh start. And in no time, Georgia makes a big impression in the town. But it was not the same for Ginny, as she faces off with her English teacher who is racist. And tries to make a place for herself. However, she meets Maxine aka Max, and her twin brother Marcus. And in no time, Ginny and Max became friends.
2. It’s a Face Not A Mask
Episode two shows that Ginny struggles to fit in her new school and with her new friends. In fact, she accidentally has sex with Max’s twin Brother Marcus and loses her virginity. While on the other side, Georgia helps the mayor of Wellsbury Paul and her neighbor Ellen.

Anya Adams directed the first two episodes of Ginny & Georgia. She even directed The Good Place show. The Canadian-American director won NAACP Image Award 2020 for marvelous direction in Netflix’s GLOW.
3. Next Level Rich People Shit
The sophomore sleepover! Yes, actually the next level rich people shit where kids pay $100 to spend the night on the gym floor of the school that they already go. This episode shows that Ginny is having fun in her new school and with her friends. Also, Ginny starts dating Hunter and finds more comfort with Marcus.
4. Lydia Bennett is Hundo a Feminist
Hunter is going to perform in a high school band with Marcus’ pseudo-girlfriend Padam (Rebecca Ablack). On the other side, Ginny is disappointed that she’s not getting any action in her relationship with Hunter. Ginny tries to get attention from Hunter by sending her sexy pictures, but he doesn’t respond. Meanwhile, Paul is feeling guilty after confronting Georgia about the credit card in front of HR. Ginny is delivering an English presentation defending Pride & Prejudice’s Lydia Bennet. Hunter’s aloofness makes Ginny insecure. And how can Georgia carry such gorgeous confidence while she feels like the opposite?

Renuka Jeyapalan is a Tamil Canadian director. She is known for making short films like Big Girl. She won the Toronto International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian Short Film in 2005.
5. Boo Bitch
And it’s Halloween time in Wellsbury but things are getting spooky for Wellsbury people. The episode starts when Georgia killed a bunny who was screwing her plants. But the scariest topic of all that Ginny is going to meet Hunter’s parents. On the other side, MANG girls are planning for a booze party at Brody’s house with Halloween costumes.
Meanwhile, Paul makes some important confessions to Georgia on their first date. Georgia tells him about Ginny’s father and her complicated relationship with him. Ginny’s dinner with Hunter’s family going well. She impresses the family by speaking a little bit of Korean and Mandarin. Later on, Ginny starts babbling about her complicated family life to Hunter’s parents. That’s not it! Halloween night turns horrible for the Miller family when they got to know that Georgia isn’t a single child. And she has a sister named Maddie along with Ginny & Austin’s cousin Caleb. Ginny is pissed about the lies Georgia has told to her and Austin.
6. I’m Triggered
Maddie’s unplanned visit to her sister causes a headache for Georgia. But Georgia lets Maddie and her son to stay for few days. The episode brings light to Georgia’s childhood. Meanwhile, Ginny starts having trust issues with her mother. Georgia seems happy to see her sister after ages. Until, Georgia decides to snoop in Maddie’s phone while she’s passed out. Unfortunately she found that Maddie was sent to find Georgia and to get her dirty secrets about her life. But Georgia tries to fix things by sending them back.
Ginny goes to school but she can’t focus and asks Hunter to take her home. And then she finds Georgia’s secret box with a gun which she ends up pointing at Georgia who comes home and hears someone snooping and pulls out a gun of her own.

David Sudz Sutherland is known as a writer and a director. He has worked for a number of popular films and Television series which include Love Sex and Eating the Bones, Designated Survivor, Frankie Drake Mysteries, and Batwoman. Sudz directed the fifth and sixth episodes of Ginny & Georgia. Recently, he has directed DC’s Superman & Lois Episode 6.
7. Happy Sweet Sixteen, Jerk
It’s Ginny’s sixteen birthdays, and Georgia is excited as she is planning to surprise her daughter on her sixteenth birthday. While Ginny is still angry with her mother but she’s happy to see her dad’s gift. She also seems delighted by Hunter’s dance in the school hallway. On her birthday, she decides to have sex with Hunter. Later on, Ginny got to know that her mother is planning a sleepover as a part of her birthday surprise.
8. Check One Check Other
Ginny’s dad comes to school to pick her up on his motorcycle. She quickly forgets what happened on her birthday. Ginny takes help from her dad to write an essay for a prestigious school contest. Ginny surprise everyone with her essay but the result breeds friction with Hunter.

Aleysa Young directed the seventh and eighth episodes of Ginny & Georgia. She has also worked in Netflix’s Good Girls and Who Is The Real Martin Short? Aleysa Young won the best direction in TV series and Canadian comedy award for Television
9. Feelings Are Hard
Ginny & Georgia both find themselves caught between two different men Marcus & Zion. While Max and Marcus face painful situations of different sorts. Ginny explains the reason behind burning herself. On the other side, Austin tells Ginny about the letters Georgia faked. Cynthia discovers some missing checks from the ledger. And Max found that Ginny and Marcus have been sexting.
10. The Worst Betryal Since Jordyn and Kylie
Georgia accepts Paul’s proposal, she and the kids pose for photos with the mayor on the eve of his election. When Ginny goes to school after the photoshoot. Her friends ignore her after the betrayal. While she realizes that no matter how great she felt about having an amazing group for the first time in her life. She would always experience that the world treats her differently. Later at work, Ginny finds that her mother is the reason behind Kenny’s death and she’s a survivor but she can be dangerous. (Oops! sorry we can’t tell what happened in the end for that you need to watch the show if you haven’t)

Catalina Aguilar Mastretta is known as a writer and director. She has done projects like Everybody Loves Somebody. Recently, she directed the last two episodes of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia.
