Fantastic Four: Antithesis written and represented by a blockbuster team of Neal Adams and Mark Waid is finally announced by Marvel.
Fantastic Four: Antithesis tags the initial advent of Adam’s iconic illustrations in Marvel comics. The publisher is making the best efforts, with the roster and mysterious Antithesis. They would need a favor from the planet consuming cosmic entity.
Who teamed up with Waid in the last issue of Fantastic four?
Fans will get to witness Waid’s return to the Marvel’s first family. The creator-rights advocate and others will handle the art duties and would bring into picture the earlier untold story of Antithesis, a whole new antagonist so strong that it will take the conjugated might of the FF, Galactus and Silver Surfer. The last issue of Fantastic Four was written in 2005 by Waid. At that time, he was accompanied by Mike Wieringo. That issue was expressed as “a wacky suburban dramedy”. Neal Adam has previously revitalized Detective Comics, the Dark Knight as well as the Green Lantern. Humanoids that are home to many European masters like Moebius and Jodorowsky has also named Waid as a publisher recently. Adam, the co-founder of Continuity associates is working on Batman: Odyssey and Superman: Coming of the Superman.
Waid commented on working with Neal Adams
Waid said, “Working with Neal Adams has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. To share the page with a man of his talent is an honor”.
“The story begins with the FF struggling to prevent an extinction event on Earth and just goes more cosmic from there. We all know of Galactus, but until now, no one has met his Antithesis.”
This news is very refreshing in the times of the Covid-19 pandemic. We would finally get to see another amazing story made by the duo. Although Avengers and X-men are competition of their own but Sue, Johnny, Reed, and Ben will always be the gold standard when it comes to all-too-human superheroes.
