The Frankenstein play will be streaming on youtube too for free. Audiences have been acknowledging the story of Frankenstein for centuries, that is written by Marry Shelley in 1818. The play deals with a human-made creature who is known as Frankenstein. It is an intriguing mixture of drama and horror.
The story written by Marry Shelley has been adapted by many in many different ways. One of the adequately unique adaptations of the same is a stage production from 2011 by an Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle. The play portrays Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller as Doctor Frankenstein and Monster respectively.
Doctor Strange has also been played by Benedict Cumberbatch. From being a neurosurgeon to a scientist who creates a creature out of deads, Cumberbatch has played the roles beautifully.
The world premiere of the play took place in the Royal National Theatre on 5th February 2011.
Originally the play has been broadcasted in various cinemas back in 2011, the creation has returned to cinemas on various distinct events, it is now to be broadcasted for free.
Broadcasting Frankenstein in April and May
The play by Danny Boyle has got an award-winning success. From 30th April 2020 till 1st May 2020, The National Theatre will be broadcasting the play “Frankenstein” on Youtube, according to the Bloody Disgusting.
Like other versions, this version also differs from the original writing by Mary Shelley. The story has been told from the monster’s perspective instead of Victor Frankenstein. The Creature doesn’t evacuate for Geneva for a full year even after his birth, instead of four months in the novel. The story deals with Victor Frankenstein who creates a creature by using human corpses. After the creator is born, Victor himself is in great terror.
Danny Boyle has been in the news for the past few years. He is busy with his 28 Years Later film. He has been busy overseeing production on the TV adaptation of The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Frankenstein would be a great treat for the viewers in time of lockdown.
