The reason revealed why there were no other Titans in Godzilla Vs Kong?
The reboot of the monster verse started with the release of Godzilla in 2014. The movie witnessed the battle between Godzilla and MUTOs who were mating and forming a nest while harming humans. The follow up movies – Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of The Monsters also introduced a number of titans into the monsterverse. These titans include Skullcrawler, Rodan, Mothra, Ghirodah, Behemoth, Scylla, Methuselah, Amhuluk, Giant Spider and many more.
A lot of monster titans emerged from the hollow world during the events of Godzilla: King of the Monsters while following the command of their Alpha Ghirodah. After our Titan supreme kicked Ghirodah’s rear and claimed victory, all of the rogue titans pledged their alliance to Godzilla and accepted him as their new Alpha. What’s surprising is that no other titans came forward to help their Alpha during the grand battle of Godzilla vs Kong.
Godzilla and Kong Quarrel
Godzilla and King Kong both are Alpha titans and in their own eyes are the rulers of the Monsterverse, so a conflict of supremacy between them was inevitable. Monarch tried to avoid this conflict by keeping Kong trapped inside an artificial containment zone on Skull Island. But eventually they let Kong out and the titans faced off. However, during the fight between them and their fight against APEX’s MechaGodzilla, none of the other titans came forward to aid their Alpha. Even before the fight, we did not witness any titans roaming the Earth. A Godzilla vs Kong graphic novel – Godzilla: Dominion, provided us the answer to this mystery.
The Answer To The Mystery Revealed
It revealed that Godzilla took it upon himself to keep the other titans in check and did so for quite some time. Obviously keeping so many titans in check is a tough job and Godzilla was doing it alone. Eventually, he got tired and decided that he cannot keep this up, but he also could not have just let the other titans wreak havoc on Earth. Therefore, he ordered them all to return to the Hollow Earth and go into hibernation, alive but dormant. It was also revealed that Ghirodah’s action would have lead Earth to Doom.
With so many titans roaming the Earth, the conflict between them was inevitable. Also, the Earth did not have enough resources to keep all the titans and humans satisfied for too long. Hence, Godzilla’s decision was completely understandable and Justified. Moreover, if there were other titans ganging up on Kong, it would not have been a fair fight thereby ruining the thrill of the movie. Still, it would have been so cool to see more of other powerful titans joining up with their Alphas to fight off MechaGodzilla. But there’s no point in feeling bad now because the threat that was averted was greater than the fun it would have been.
