Which Sex Education character does not want to come back for the 3rd Season?

Actor Edward Bluemel, who plays the character of Maeve’s (Emma Mackey) troublesome older brother in the first season of the Netflix show, has expressed his interest in returning to the role of Sean Wiley however not in season 3.

In an interview with Radio Times he has said,

“I have to wait and see really, it’s definitely something that has been talked about and I think, judging by people who have watched the show, I think it makes sense if he does return.” Bluemel continued, “You just never know what’s going to happen, it’s an interesting one playing a character who’s entire schtick is that he’s never there, because you’re like, ‘Oh yes, I’ve been cast as this brilliant role,’ but his main thing is that he’s never, ever there, so it’s quite funny waiting.”The actor also stated that he would love to return sometime in the future and he hopes that the audience will also welcome him with open arms.

Bluemel also says that the longer the producers keep his character off screen, the better as it will create more anticipation among the audience and thus invoke a greater reaction if and when he comes back. However, he has also claimed that the character may die off-screen, given the nature of Bluemel’s character it will not be much surprising. He added, “Or he might die off-screen, which would be exciting in a different way to learn about!”
