WandaVision’s director Matt Shakman has admitted that WandaVision’s ending is going to be fun but it won’t satisfy everyone’s expectations considering the massive viewership of the show.
So far WandaVision has been one heck of a roller coaster ride, leaving us in awe with more and more surprises with each new coming episode every week. The direction in which we expected the show to go in and the direction in which it actually went in were completely different. We also received too many presents in the form of comic accurate scenes in the series. A lot of expectations got wasted while a lot of bonuses were spread and now with only one episode remaining in the series, it is obvious that a lot of people in the audience would find themselves disappointed with the way the show ends, in contradiction to what they had expected.
What We Got vs What We Expected In WandaVision’s Ending
It was like an early Christmas with all the unexpected stuff we got to see on the show since the first episode. From introducing S.W.O.R.D. and Monica Rambeau’s employment there to bringing back old characters like Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis, from introducing Wanda and Vision’s kidsto bringing Evan Peters as quicksilver (just a deception), WandaVsion has really outdid itself with each episode. Though we had a little different thoughts about what was going to happen, the end product that we got wasn’t half bad either. Mephisto was believed to be the villain of the series, however the real big bad was revealed to be Agatha Harkness, a witch who thought the art of magic to the Scarlet Witch in the comics.
Also, Evan Peters’ appearance was thought to be the first step at introducing the X-Men into the MCU, this particular instance was a big troll of the fans and the hopes they had. Vision was thought to be bought back with technology and Wanda’s magic but turned out to only be a manifestation of Wanda’s imagination and her powers. Even though things didn’t go quite as planned, there are still some predictions for the finale but none that satisfies everyone, and this is something that the director of the show acknowledges.
“I hope that they feel like the journey was satisfying for them. I know there are so many theories out there; there will be a lot of people who will no doubt be disappointed by one theory or another. But we’re always telling this story about Wanda dealing with grief and learning how to accept that loss, and hopefully, people will find that the finale is surprising but also satisfying and that it feels inevitable because it’s the same story they’ve been watching the whole time,”
Matt Shakman (WandaVision’s Director) stated.
What Happen In WandaVision’s Ending
We know that the WandaVision family would be involved in a battle against Agatha Harkness who is intimidated by Wanda’s power and refers to her as a “Scarlet Witch.” This is the first time that Wanda has been referred to as the “Scarlet Witch” in her whole journey in the MCU.
As Vision is only a manifestation of Wanda’s powers and her imagination, his death is imminent. The Monochromatic Vision or The White Vision will also engage in a battle against the family, against Vision in particular on the commands of Director Hayward of S.W.O.R.D. Since West View is majorly Wanda’s magic, in the end, Wanda can end up losing everything again, this includes Vision, her kids, and maybe her status as a Hero. Though not everyone would appreciate Vision’s death for the third time and Wanda’s loneliness after she loses everyone again, the only thing for certain is that the series finale of WandaVision would be a Blast!
