Joker’s murderous tendencies that DC villains have in common are found in this latest enemy of Spiderman. Spiderman’s planet is full of unique supervillains, both absurd and fatal. Now one of his fatal old foes has made a comeback to the Marvel Universe.
Spiderman’s oldest foe- The Joaquin Phoenix‘s reconsidered Joker. Stanley Carter (Sin-Eater) has from the beginning of the story has been a threat to Spiderman. Despite his dangerous actions he tries to find the evil in the beings around him and feels to “cleanse” all of them. According to him, justice should be quick.
Sin-Eater provoked people to join him in his mission of cleansing the evil from the world
Sin-Eater provides a powerful monologue at the beginning of Sins Rising’s third installment. He entrusted Norah Winters with a message to the public despite J Jonah Jameson’s objection that it might provoke violence. He promises to provide power to anybody who joins him in his mission. So, people came forward to help him. One man’s radical ideology was now supported by millions of people (unpredictable criminals). They made strange but similar correspondents to the incidents provoked by Joaquin Phoenix’s character in Todd Phillips’ Joker.
Sin-Eater (The Joker Version) and Joker – Similar yet Different
Although both Sin-Eater and Joker have different approaches but their philosophical views towards the society are somewhat similar. Joker’s (Arthur fleck) is more of a crazy maniac who is prone to homicidal tendencies doing it all under the name of values. according to him, the society lacks class and dignity it once owned. He wants to shove away the awful people from the world. In The Amazing Spider-Man #47, he shares his thoughts with the public domain by appearing on TV. As soon as this happened, Joker’s supporters went on to the streets in his support.
Sin-Eater with his whole heart believes the story he has constructed in his head that he must cleanse everybody of their sins. Arthur Fleck (Joker) did so unintentionally however, Sin-Eater did it with the intention of forming up an army that will support him in his mission. Like Joker, he also used media to get his thought and message delivered to thousands of people to get support from the public. Sin-Eater possesses the power to control his followers psychologically. So, Norah‘s decision to broadcast Sin-Eater’s message has led to war. Spiderman is now left to decide how to end it.
