Fans have been waiting for the Batman Forever. But, it seems as if Warner Bros. Have no plans for the same. Warner Bros. Are in no mood as of now, to release the longer and darker (original) cut of Batman Forever.
Joel Schumacher’s extended cut of the 1995 film does exist. Fans are super excited for the extended cut. According to Variety, there are no discussions and plans for releasing the extended cut. There are no current dialogues by Warner Bros. regarding the release and production of the same. Now the doubt makes its way. There is now a question that has been raised all above if enough footage exists still or not.
The extended cut is of 170 minutes duration according to the Warner Bros. It is said that the extended cut of Batman Forever is far darker than the theatrical cut that uses only 121 minutes of duration. The 121 minutes duration theatrical cut opens with depicting Two-Face Tommy Lee Jones. He breaks out of the Arkham Asylum. There is another addition to the subplot that is exploring Bruce Wayne’s psychological issues. This has included him while confronting a giant man-sized bat.
The Idea Emerged After The Demise Of The Director
Many of the fans are still not aware of the same. But there are many who have known about the presence and the Batman Forever cut that us alternate to the theatrical cut. There has been a reanimation that has taken place recently. The resurgence is caused in the demand after the death of the director Joel Schumacher. There is also a reason for the same that is the successful effort while getting Zack Snyder’s original cut of Justice League. Snyder’s cut has really inspired the alternate cut. Also, it is to be noted that 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the theatrical release of Batman Forever.
