Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be having a new Easter egg that will be pointing to Batman’s deceased sidekick Robin.
Snyder, while being on the Film Junkee Vodka Stream, said, “There are some… there’s a Robin… there’s a Robin line, like… there’s a Robin Easter egg in Justice League, um, that I think you’ll have to wait and see. I can’t say exactly.”
While Robin has ultimately to occur in the DCEU, his clothing is exhibited on show in the Batcave in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with the words “Hahaha Joke’s on you, Batman”.
This is spray-painted across the chest. While some thought this costume is related to Jason Todd, Batman’s second Robin who was slaughtered by The Joker in the comics before his demise was retconned, Snyder confirmed later, it was that of Dick Grayson.
It was also disclosed by professional costume manufacturer Douglas J. Stewart that the DCEU Robin “was brutally murdered and then set ablaze by the Joker.” However, the nature of the Robin Easter egg is ambiguous.
