One of the media analysts has given his theory that gives reasons behind the decision of HBO Max to produce Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It is more than just to appease fans.
Comscore media analyst Paul Dergarabedian has spoken to Observer, theorizing that Warner Bros. determination was not prepared to silence the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign but to start a long-term business plan for their brand.
“There’s an X-factor to consider. ‘Do we want this person to work elsewhere or do we want to keep them in-house?;” he said while speaking about director Zack Snyder. “If it doesn’t make hard financial or objective financial sense on its face, then there are subjective motivations and factors at play. They want to be in the Zack Snyder business just like Warners wants to be in the Christopher Nolan business. It’s a long-term strategy.”
Zack Snyder’s Justice League To Premiere Next Year
Furthermore, he has indicated that not only is this a decent way to keep Zack Snyder in its bag; it is also a means to persuade new subscribers to its streamer, HBO Max. The new streaming platform is where Zack Snyder’s Justice League is put to make its premiere in 2021.
The analyst thinks that people first peek at available online subjects and then at the price of the content when agreeing on whether to subscribe or not. Giving rise to a restricted project as high profile as Justice League to its platform is a means to generate a fresh batch of subscribers. He stated, “Maybe they’ve got plans for this that will make it feel more appealing to a broader cross-section of audiences or maybe it’s about having the best-reviewed project irrespective of its financial performance.”
Zack Snyder’s Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Ciarán Hinds, Jesse Eisenberg, and J.K. Simmons. Zack Snyder’s Justice League will premiere on HBO Max in 2021.
