Zoom app has been confronting security problems since it has been launched. Thus, it has been decided to fine-tune the video conferencing software. Also, Zoom App is now boosting its security features so it can prevent the app from “zoom bombing’.
It is confirmed by San Jose, Online video provider, California Headquarter on Wednesday, that by the end of this week Zoom app will be using progressive encryption for protecting data and preventing tampering. This Upgrading will make availability of the new 5.0 words and of the software.
There are some instances where zoom bombing has taken place. Educational classes and meetings organised by the local government are disrupted by racist symbols and impressions of pornography.
According to an Israeli newspaper ‘Haaretz’, an online Holocaust Remembrance Day event had been conducted by an Israeli Embassy in Germany on Tuesday. The event was distracted by showing pictures of Adolf Hitler where he has been seen shouting Pro-Palestinian and Anti-Semitic slogans.

Eric Yuan, CEO of Zoom has said that the company will be spending 90 days for the sake of fixing the security of the zoom app. So it helps in curbing interruptions in video conferences, i.e. ‘zoom bombing’. Zoom says Zoom app will be using tough encryption i.e. AES 256 bit GCM encryption which will offer increased protection of meeting data in transit and resistance against tampering.”
The new version of the zoom app will make it hard for the meetings and conferences to be zoom bombed. They will be protected with login passwords and waiting rooms. Only the host will be allowed to admit the attendees that too with the help of passwords.
There will be an improved security feature that can be accessed by the host only that will be present with the option of ” Report A User” to notify if anyone is intruding.
This move by Zoom App might resist attacks from cyberpunks.
